Energotehnika Južna Bačka has selected international technology group ANDRITZ to supply ten new turbines for the modernization of the Vlasinske hydropower plants, a long-standing pillar of Serbia’s electricity system.

India-based KOOT, part of the EKKI Group owned by the Arumugam family, has been honoured as a Finalist for the “Supplier of the Year” Award at the prestigious Pump Industry Awards (PIA).

Wilo has had a successful financial year in 2025. With a currency-adjusted sales increase of 4.5%, the water technology group has continued its profitable growth trajectory. Total net sales rose to €1,918.7 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose as planned by 39% to €212 million.

The manufacturing economy has faced a series of challenges over the past three years, constricting growth of the precision gearbox market. However, to generate additional revenue streams, precision gearbox manufacturers have been taking proactive measures.
