1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no? Nonexistent. His mother died giving birth to Nero when he was young (well she was absorbed by darkness as he popped out but same difference), and it's unknown who his father was. Even if both were alive and present they probably wouldn't have a 'relationship', it's more likely his mother was a scientist of some sort who was providing offspring for experimentation.

There IS a chance that she didn't consent to the experiments and that she cared about Weiss and Nero, but nothing really supports this. As far as Weiss is concerned, it doesn't matter anyway. It's not something he really cares about.

2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features? Most definitely his hair, with his muscular build coming in second. Those are probably about the only two things that stick out when meeting him, and other than that he's pretty plain.  Though he does have a surprisingly nice smile now and then herp derp.

3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason? He doesn't have any that are visible, which is about 50% of him :|  As for the reason, it's probably thanks to the enhancements experiments and whatnot gave him, resulting in his body being more or less indestructible.

Though, if we count his time at Edelweiss, he'd have a vertical one going down his abdomen from where one of the doctors cut him open. 8D

4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?  It's not something he really thinks about, actually.  He's not particularly modest but he doesn't consider his appearance/looks all that important.

5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale? X - Nonsexual!  Sex and intimacy and the like aren't relevant to his interests.  He's not at all an affectionate person and is sorta too cold and distant to be interested in something so personal.  Sure violent sex exists but |: he'd rather just have the violence.

Assuming he was interested though he'd probably be about a 1?  Idk.

6.) Describe your character’s happiest memory.  That one time when he and Nero were on a picnic but the ants carried away their basket so they went paddle boating instead--

No but seriously heee probably doesn't have one.  There have been times when he's felt content, and he takes enjoyment in fighting, and he's taken pride in his strength, but he doesn't know what it means to be happy.  It's not something he's aware of missing out on, so he doesn't really dwell or pay much attention to the fact.  It's an emptiness he's used to, sadly.

7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?  Overall, Weiss accepts his past and the events contained in it.  However, he probably wouldn't mind getting rid of the whole dying/Hojo possession/Omega fusion thing since that experience was above and beyond distressing.  He sought freedom, and that's where it got him.  |:

As far as life in Deepground goes and everything that went on, he's already been through it and has already survived it so he's not concerned with changing anything (and besides, picking ONE event from Deepground wouldn't do much because there's probably hundreds more unpleasant memories anyway haha).

8.) Day of Favorites! What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?

9.) Who does your character trust?  Nero, and the other Tsviets to an extent.  They're his comrades and he knows how capable they are so he'd trust them fully to carry out whatever he needed done.  As for anyone he trusts on a personal level, enough to confide in, probably no one?  He's more or less pretty open so there's nothing in particular he takes great pains to 'hide' or avoid, but also doesn't make it a habit or see the point in blabbing a bunch of details about his life and thoughts when he doesn't find them relevant.  IDK HE'S A MYSTERY.

10.) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.  I can't pinpoint a time frame but I imagine that there was a point where he realized Deepground's senseless killing and pursuit of strength were pointless.  Looking around realistically he probably realized that no matter what he and the others overcame, it amounted to nothing.  He takes a lot of pride in his strength and ability and has no regrets, but he can tell you first hand that rising to the top is a hollow victory.  This is probably what set him apart enough from the others to make him an ideal leader who possessed direction, because where everyone else was content to blindly pursue strength he was able to set his sights above that.

11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?

12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email? I picture Weiss is pretty okay with technology! He has the ability to perform a Synaptic Net Dive which involves sending an image of himself into the internet to interact with and gather data. It's implied he can do this alone and without assistance (since apparently no one else was there/involved when he did it to find his cure), so he probably knows his way around technology competently enough.  I doubt he's savvy enough to hack things on a whim without the use of an SND, but he's not clueless and all that.

13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?  His bed probably stays neatly made except for the folded back corner where he slept.  I picture him preferring to lay stretched out on his front, which is considerably more comfortable than sleeping upright on a stone throne.  I doubt he thrashes around too much or anything but I don't imagine him sleeping too soundly or solidly anyway haha.  Part of it is he wouldn't want to fall into too deep of a sleep where he'd be vulnerable and unaware, but also despite his calm outward apathy he probably has a lot of things tugging at his mind and preventing him from being comfortable.  |:  STILL, stretching out on a bed is better than catnaps on a throne.

14.) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold? He doesn't seem to react at all considering he doesn't wear a shirt. |: In my head canon his experiments have left him immune to petty things like temperature and thus he will never wear a shirt.  Since he can apparently deflect bullets with his palms this isn't too much of a stretch actually.

15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?  Probably a bit of both?  I can see him favoring the idea of getting a routine set up and waking up early in the morning, and I imagine staying up late/functioning with little sleep isn't difficult for him.  Who knows how long he was chained to that throne away from even the projected sky, so his days and nights probably are understandably mixed up LMAO.  Plus yeah I sort of imagine him not sleeping too soundly anyway as I said in #13.

16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative? Nope, Nero is his only known blood relative.  Unless you count the Tsviets, since aside from Shelke they all got Genesis' genes. Speaking of, he (mockingly) calls Genesis 'brother' because of this, even though they're technically not related. SO OVERALL, NOPE. Deepground is his family. >|

17.) What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy? For the most part, I imagine that he's probably pretty neat, but not obsessively so. He doesn't get worked up if there's a mess but when left to his own devices he'd keep things reasonably orderly.

18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)  I have no idea honestly.  I'm sure they've been trained on how to find and prepare food for survival purposes but since rising to the top and being chained down it's probably a skill he hasn't put to use in ages.  Outside of basic things though I'm inclined to believe that cooking is one of the things he isn't good at LMFAO.  Mr. Immaculate Emperor starting kitchen fires yes.

19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?  Probably walking LMFAO.  He's spent enough time being contained underground, inside a mako reactor, being chained down and held still, so now that he has the chance he'd likely prefer to walk everywhere just because he can.

20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?  Not really.  :|  He's pretty practical minded and level-headed so doesn't waste time with dreading things.  Deepground is full of horrifying things that he's long since accepted, so he marches into them with a rational, collected head.

21.) What would your character’s cutie mark be?  A THRONE.  idfk.

22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go? He probably wouldn't, actually. Weiss prefers to focus on the present and what's happening now, so unless there was something valuable to be learned/gained from going backwards or forwards in time he doesn't see the point in dwelling on the past/hurrying the future.

23.) Is your character superstitious? Nope.

24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?

25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?  It'd make sense if they were pretty calloused, but considering how smooth and unmarred the rest of him is I'm sure his hands are no different so truthfully they're probably smooth and perfect too.  |:

26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.  "The Unforgiven" by Metallica makes me think of him when he was growing up.  Just him adjusting to Deepground and the rules and way of things down there, and doing his best to not fall completely into it.

"Wherever I May Roam" by ALSO METALLICA makes me think of him as an adult, and though it's not literal since he has yet to roam anywhere it's like a metaphor for freedom I guess.

28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?  Probably a horror idk.  |:  KIDNAPPING, TORTURE, BRAINWASHING, BLOOD BATHS, SLAUGHTER, EXPERIMENTATION, INSANITY.

29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?

30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.

Character: Weiss the Immaculate
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII [Dirge of Cerberus]
Personality:
History: As an introduction, I'll be providing a general, condensed overview of Deepground's background. This is for two reasons: First, it plays a heavy role regarding Weiss' background, and second, it will hopefully make the events detailed in his personal history easier to follow.

Also, owing to the ambiguous nature of Deepground and the relatively scarce material relating to it, it was difficult to construct a coherent timeline of events. That being said, I did my best, so hopefully it reads easily enough!

deepground.

When the Jenova Project was started in an attempt to create a human with the powers of the Ancients, a rival project appeared in an attempt to surpass it. Project Gillian, or simply Project G, was named after Gillian Hewley, the mother of Angeal Hewley, who volunteered to undergo the procedure of having herself and her unborn child injected with the cells of Jenova. Soon after, her genes would also be transferred to another unborn child, who would later become Genesis Rhapsodos. Both of the children showed great potential for the project, and Genesis in particular sparked interest in the scientists involved. However, after the birth of Sephiroth, who was in every way superior to those spawned from 'Project G', the project was dubbed a failure. Though it was seemingly dropped, research on the project would continue in secret.

Hidden deep below Midgar was what would become one of ShinRa's darkest and most carefully kept secrets: Deepground, an institution built originally to serve as a medical facility, designed to bring wounded members of SOLDIER back to health. However, shortly after Project G was spawned, scientists became intrigued by the potential shown by Genesis Rhapsodos after his birth and started to use Deepground to gather further research on the subject. The subsequent experiments were nothing short of cruel and immoral, and over the years they only became increasingly more sinister; the people they once worked to heal now becoming nothing more than science experiments.

To provide them with an endless supply of recruits, they sent more and more ShinRa troops down to train and undergo experimentation. On top of relocating countless numbers of soldiers unwillingly, they also resorted to even worse methods of recruitment, using children that were born into Deepground as well as kidnapping others from their homes as test subjects. Eventually, Deepground's purpose shifted completely and they aimed to create the perfect soldier (which Weiss would one day become), as well as establish a vast, secret army of highly trained individuals who lacked any trace of morals or sympathy.

It is apparent that these atrocities were all ordered and funded by President ShinRa himself. As a cover-up, he assigned four members of SOLDIER who had been in Deepground since the beginning the task of 'covering his trail', as it were, which involved eliminating those who held knowledge of and threatened the existence of Deepground. Upon their success, ShinRa appointed them as governors of Deepground and from then on they were referred to as Restrictors. Even after President ShinRa and the few others who knew of Deepground's existence all died, the Restrictors remained in a position of authority, up until they met their demise as well.

weiss the immaculate.

Weiss was born directly into the hell that is Deepground, and as such, from birth his entire life revolved around undergoing experimentation alongside a rigorous training regime. Though he was one of the few soldiers who was not exposed to Jenova cells, he showed potential that greatly exceeded any and all expectations, and he excelled by means of natural skill and talent, as well as augmentations gained from experimentation.

Over the years he continuously improved and grew stronger, and eventually would be the first soldier promoted to the rank of Tsviet, which would later become what any recruit aspired to be: the highest ranking and elite subgroup of Deepground. There, he continued to stay on top and reign supreme, remaining leaps and bounds ahead of any soldier that would follow. He would later, along with five others, be labeled a Colored Tsviet and given the title 'the Immaculate', to signify his infusion with the genes of Genesis Rhapsodos. With the exception of Shelke, this was a procedure that all of the Colored Tsviets underwent.

(It is worth noting that I'm not sure what affect this had on him or the others, as there is no notable difference or augmentation that any of them gained from it. Their only difference from Shelke, who did not undergo the procedure, is her extreme case of Mako dependency, which I'm pretty positive is unrelated.)

To keep their growing strength in check, safety measures were soon placed upon the Tsviets in the form of microchips implanted into their necks. These chips were similar to shock collars, allowing the Restrictors to zap and immobilize them if the need arose, effectively restraining them. With the sense of security these measures offered also came a sense of absolute power, as with their biggest threats subdued and under their thumb, the Restrictors were not modest about lording their power and treating Deepground underlings with increasing cruelty. Though no one was happy with the state of things, there was little anyone could do about it, leaving them at the mercy of their cruel overseers. It was around this time that the plot for rebellion started to form in Weiss' mind.

Though those who found themselves in Deepground were unlikely to ever see the above world again, Weiss and his brother Nero were a couple of the rare exceptions. Sometime during his time in Deepground (after the events of Crisis Core, to be precise), Weiss and Nero were sent on a special mission to retrieve a near-dead Genesis Rhapsodos from Banora. When they brought him back to Deepground, Weiss asked him for assistance with a rebellion he had by this point started plotting. Genesis refused, however, and left the facility. This was only a minor setback, as even without the help of Genesis, Weiss continued to formulate his plan and gradually win more and more of Deepground's favor. Considering how much Deepground respected and feared his strength, winning them over wasn't a difficult task.)

His progress would eventually be slightly hindered once more as the measures placed upon him grew even more strict when his strength started to rival even the Restrictors. He received a special, more advanced version of the chip, that not only allowed his superiors to control him, but would also release a virus that would degrade his body and kill him within three days should one of the Restrictors die. On top of this, he was isolated and confined, chained to a crude throne located in the heart of Mako Reactor 0 and given the mocking title of 'Immaculate Emperor'.

All of their precautions were useless in the end, however. Despite his isolation, Weiss still managed to relay details of his plan to the other Colored Tsviets during his brief meetings with them when he wasn't restrained. Due to the fact that he and the others were unable to attack the Restrictors directly due to the chip implanted in them, they opted to use a fresh recruit, guiding her through the training program to ensure that she lived long enough to carry out their plan. Since the chip this recruit received was faulty and imperfect, they were able to bypass the Restrictor's control.

Upon the recruits success and promotion to the rank of Tsviet, she was granted the 'honor' of challenging Weiss, and it was with this step that his rebellion began to unfold. While sitting on his throne, he started to mock and taunt the Restrictor, challenging him to a one-on-one handicapped fight to see who was stronger. Though this request was directly denied, Weiss was released from his chains and was permitted to fight the newly appointed Tsviet. He swiftly defeated her and, before tossing her aside, whispered that he would avenge her. Afterwards, Restrictor granted him his request to fight a handicapped match, and summoned two of the other Colored Tsviets, Rosso and Azul.

After Weiss defeated them as well, he turned on the Restrictor, yet was unable to attack. It was then that he turned and ordered the recruit to attack him, which she obeyed and succeeded in weakening him enough to allow Weiss the freedom to strike a fatal blow. The Restrictor tried to reason with him in his panicked state, reminding Weiss of the virus that would kill him if he went through with it. Weiss showed no concern, however, laughing and mocking him as he died. When he was no more, the Tsviets gathered around and rejoiced at his death, before Weiss started giving further council on what would happen next.

There were still a few things left for Weiss take care of; namely, the virus that was released at the time of the Restrictor's death. In an attempt to find the antidote, he performed a Synaptic Net Dive, sending a residual image of himself onto the network and searching for the cure. It didn't go quite as planned, though, as he encountered a presence he hadn't anticipated.

As a safety measure while he was still alive, a certain Professor Hojo took a number of steps to help preserve his existence, one of these steps being the scattering of his mind across the world wide network. When Weiss entered the network, these remnants invaded his consciousness, granting Professor Hojo complete control over his body. This meeting was more than pure good luck, as it tied into a plot that Hojo had spent time carefully developing.

Using the notes of former assistant and partner Lucrecia Crescent, he devised a well-thought out plan that would grant him the immortality he wished. His desire was to trick the planet into awakening Omega WEAPON by slaughtering countless humans that were not infected by Geostigma. From there, he planned to fuse with Omega, becoming the most powerful being on the planet and following Omega on its journey to begin life anew. To achieve this, he required a couple key items: The protomateria, which would allow him to control Omega once he was merged (which at the time was in the possession of Vincent Valentine), as well as a strong body untainted by Geostigma or Jenova cells, making Weiss a crucial aspect as well.

Though Weiss only had a few days left to live before the virus took over, Hojo made no delay in using his identity to relay orders to the Weiss' own brother and fellow Tsviet, Nero, giving him and the rest of Deepground instructions to capture the humans he required, as well as the protomateria. Nero faithfully carried out what he thought was his brother's wish, Weiss finally succumbing to death not long after. Whether or not the rest of Deepground knew of his death is unknown, as they wasted no time in carrying out the orders supposedly given by their leader.

Before the people of the world above could grasp what was happening, Deepground was swiftly moving in, capturing and slaughtering countless innocents in what appeared to be an attempt at genocide. Shortly after the massacre started, the World Regenesis Organization, or WRO, moved troops to try and control the situation, though with little success.

Meanwhile, Rosso the Crimson successfully carried out the order to retrieve the Protomateria, ambushing Vincent and ripping it right out of his chest. The wound failed to kill him, however, and Vincent was able to make a strong come back, disposing of the Tsviets one by one and working to infiltrate Deepground itself. Eventually, he arrived in the secretive Mako Reactor 0, the place where Weiss was being held and the undetected presence of Hojo was waiting.

It was revealed that Weiss was in fact dead, his brother Nero stepping forward and explaining that he had been granted with the answer to give his brother life once more. The energy that Deepground had gathered by slaughtering innocents had begun to serve it's purpose, and as a result, Weiss was revived. As he awakened, Nero stepped forward and embraced him, relieved to finally have his brother back. However, Weiss turned on him, dealing him a fatal blow and casting him aside.

A confrontation with Vincent followed, and Hojo revealed his plan in full, admitting that he was the one behind the slaughters and confessing openly how he took over the mind of Weiss, using him to carry out his plan. After the encounter, Vincent engages in battle with Weiss, but can't match his immense strength in his current form. Defeated, Vincent attempts to call forth the power of Chaos, succeeding. With his new strength, he is able to defeat Weiss, dealing him a seemingly fatal blow.

As he lay there wounded, the presence of Nero came forward and attempted to merge with Weiss in order to save him. Hojo commanded him to stop, saying he needed a pure vessel to carry out his wish, but neither Weiss or Nero listened to him and proceeded to merge, destroying him in the process. Free of Hojo's control, Weiss stepped forward and proceeded to summon the being Omega. As Omega started carrying out it's purpose, Chaos made his way into the WEAPON where he finally met Weiss once more. Once again they fought, but Chaos proved victorious, destroying Omega in the process and sending Weiss to his presumed death.

It appeared as though he managed to just barely survive the encounter, landing unconscious in a cave below Midgar. This cave happened to be the hideout of Genesis, who appeared not long after to carry his 'brother' away. I'll be taking him from after he lands in this cave unconscious, but before Genesis whisks him away.
Timeline: From the end of Dirge of Cerberus, after being defeated by Chaos and before being carried off by Genesis.
Abilities: Years of undergoing various experiments and rigorous training have equipped Weiss with immense strength and skill, making him more than a match for even the most formidable of opponents, easily outstripping even the Elite class of Deepground. Physically, his body is strong enough to serve as a host for the WEAPON Omega and is able to withstand blows that would leave most others crippled, making him seemingly indestructible.* On top of his physical strength, Weiss is also capable of reaching incredible speeds, moving from one spot to another in the blink of an eye.

Weiss also possesses other abilities on top of his physical strength, such as creating shockwaves on the ground to knock opponents off their feet, and sending blasts of energy at them from afar. He can also make 'copies' of himself, which seem to be capable of moving at least somewhat independently of him, allowing him to cover multiple opponents or overwhelm a particularly strong one.

Lastly, though it's not something that will ever be used here, it's worth noting that he is also capable of performing a Synaptic Net Dive, an ability shared with Shelke. Basically, Weiss sends a residual image of himself onto a network, or directly into the internet, entering a sort of 'virtual reality' that allows him to interact with and gather data. As this requires a helmet connected to the network to perform, it's not a skill that will help him any in Demeleier.

*Though he is presented this way in canon, I have no intentions of playing him this way here. While he'll still be a highly skilled fighter, I'll be watering him down and making him susceptible to injury and making him not quite as overpowered as he is in canon.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Weiss the Immaculate was born and raised in Deepground, an institution built deep below Midgar that was originally a medical facility. It was here that a top secret branch of SOLDIER was trained, it's members undergoing a number of bizarre experiments that deviated from the usual procedure used. Weiss rose quickly through the ranks, becoming the first member of Deepground to become a Tsviet, an elite branch of the group. Only a select few would be able to advance this far, and due to his unmatchable strength even at their levels, he was made something of a leader, even receiving the title of "Immaculate Emperor".

Owing to the fact that Deepground was hidden away underground, it was a rare occasion that any of the members would see the world above. Weiss was one of these exceptions, along with his brother Nero, as the two of them were sent on a mission that allowed them to go above ground. This particular mission required them to collect the SOLDIER named Genesis and bring him back to Deepground. Weiss, along with a few others, would later be spliced with Genesis' genes and assigned a color to mark their status, making up an even more exclusive branch of Tsviets referred to as 'Colored Tsviets'.

These beings were so powerful that those in charge, called Restrictors, took extra precautions against them, such as having chips implanted in their neck that would allow them to be controlled. Even more steps were taken with Weiss, as he received an even more complex chip, one that would allow control and, upon the death of these rulers, release a virus that would kill him within three days. Due to his status as 'Emperor', he was even isolated and confined, chained to a throne and monitored around the clock.

Growing tired of the Restrictor's rule and craving freedom, Weiss soon started plotting a rebellion. At one point he asked Genesis for help in the plight, but the SOLDIER declined, choosing instead to isolate himself. It was only a minor hindrance, however, as soon Weiss was able to unite Deepground under the common goal of freedom, and started plotting a coup.

Due to the fact that he and the others were unable to attack the Restrictors directly due to the chip implanted in them, they instead used a fresh recruit, guiding her through the training program. Since she lacked the chip that prevented them from attacking the Restrictor directly, she would be able to carry it out and weaken him.

This plan was put into action as one day, while Weiss sat chained to his throne, he bargained with the Restrictor to remove the chains, requesting to try out his new swords in a handicapped match. The Restrictor granted him his wish, removing his binds and allowing him his match, making him face both Azul the Cerulean and Rosso the Crimson at the same time. He made quick work of the two of them, even after they went into their stronger forms.

After they were defeated, he turned on the Restrictor, yet was unable to attack. It was then that he ordered the recruit to shoot him. The battle was tough, but she proved useful, serving the purpose the Tsviets had intended. Though she was successful, the Restrictor managed to turn on her, injuring her. Weiss took his chance while the Restrictor was weakened, breaking past the effects of the chip and attacking him, dealing a fatal blow. As he died, the others gathered around and rejoiced, finally free from his binds. Weiss now had complete control of Deepground.

However, there were still a few things to take care of, one being the virus that was released within Weiss at the time of the Restrictor's death. In an attempt to find the antidote, he performed a Synaptic Net Dive, sending a residual image of himself onto the network and searching for the cure. It didn't go quite as planned, though, as he encountered a presence he hadn't anticipated.

When Weiss entered the network, these remnants invaded his consciousness, granting Professor Hojo complete control over his body. His desire was to awaken Omega, which would ultimately destroy the planet and seek to begin life anew. To do this, he required a strong body that was untainted and 'pure', which is what Weiss had to offer.

Using Weiss' authority, and the undying loyalty of his brother Nero, Hojo took command of Deepground, ordering them to capture humans that were not infected with Geostigma to use as holding places for mako energy, which he would collect and use to fuse Weiss with Omega by slaughtering them to trick the planet. To do this, he required the protomateria, which was in a certain Vincent Valentine's possession. Issuing an order to have it retrieved, this order was carried out successfully by Rosso the Crimson, who ripped the materia right out of his chest.

The wound failed to kill him, however, and Vincent was able to come back, battling Deepground and disposing of the Tsviets one by one as he infiltrated Deepground itself. Eventually, he arrived in the secretive Mako Reactor 0, the place where Weiss was being held and the plot was being carried out. It was revealed that Weiss was actually dead, his brother Nero stepping forward and explaining that he had been granted with the answer to give his brother life once more. However, it appeared as though Weiss survived the encounter, though not unscathed. Genesis appears once more to carry him off, but before he has had time to completely heal, he appears in Edelweiss, still feeling the effects of the aftermath of the encounter.
CHARACTER PERSONALITY: When talking and generally interacting with Weiss, there are really two sides of his personality you are likely to encounter. The more dominant part of his psych contains traits inherited from spending years in Deepground, these traits being the ones that make up the cold, calculating, and decisive part of him. Lacking any hint of morals or values, he acts mercilessly and without reservation. If there is something that needs to be done, he simply does it, without a trace of guilt or a second thought.

Despite this, to mistake him for a mindless killer would be inaccurate, as he possesses a keen, sharp mind. Though most around him have degraded into beings who enjoy killing for the sake of killing with no reason or purpose, Weiss has retained enough sanity to be able to formalize plans and strategies. He is able to prioritize and possesses a sense of direction, and it is because of this that Deepground respects him so. It is this trait that makes him an ideal leader, able to improvise and utilize what is available to him and bring others towards a common goal.

The other side of him you'll likely see is the much more personal one, the side that takes enjoyment in what he does when he is able to set aside his duties as a leader. He views fighting, and even killing, as nothing more than sport, and often desires to stack the odds against him, seeking a challenge. With that in mind, he enjoys the hunt far more than the kill, and would much rather face a worthy opponent rather than a number of people who are easily killed.

HOW IS THIS CHARACTER APPROPRIATE FOR THIS SETTING: Weiss spent most of his life in a setting not unlike Edelweiss, and potentially worse by comparison. He is used to being experimented on and controlled, and having these aspects (along with the scattered deaths) will likely make him feel right at home. With that said, he'll adjust to the setting very well, prepared for pretty much anything that might happen.
WHAT WILL THEIR DIAGNOSIS BE: Schizoid Personality Disorder
PREDICTED PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS: It is highly unlikely the darker aspects of Edelweiss will have any affect at all. Weiss accepted long ago that the people around him are disposable and the people above him are always wanting more. Death, experimentation and a number of other cruel, inhumane acts are by no means a novel experience, Edelweiss being an improvement in comparison. Despite that, having these similarities present will actually serve as a comfort.

The 'improvements', on the other hand, will likely be the things that have the largest impact on his psych. One of the things he will struggle to grasp is the idea that he is on the same level as all the other patients, whereas in Deepground he was [literally] placed on a throne and confined to it. There is also a small amount of newfound freedom that will come with the situation, as it will be the first time in a long time that he will be able to act, think, and speak of his own free will, to a certain extent. One last thing he will have to adjust to is how willing those around him are to form bonds, and how reluctant they are to accept death.
PREDICTED BEHAVIOUR/PLANS: Weiss, above all else, desires freedom, and there is no question that he will once again work to obtain this freedom. Like he did with Deepground, he will likely try to form alliances among the other patients (and, depending on circumstances, staff) and plot a rebellion.

However, any alliances he does make will be strictly business, as it is highly doubtful he will be interested in more personal relationships. Outside of doing what is necessary, he'll maintain a certain level of isolation from the others, choosing to keep mostly to himself. An exception of this is the fact he will likely seek out the stronger patients and attempt to test his strength against them.
DANGER LEVEL: 2. Though he has no reason to target the other patients, he doesn't really need one. Trained to be a merciless killer, he takes enjoyment and a certain amount of pride in what he does. Unless he sees a specific use for them, the people around him are disposable.

THIRD PERSON: It was unlikely that he would ever agree with Shelke, but she was correct in saying their binds would never be broken, not completely. They had broken free from the Restrictor, but there were some things that they simply would never get back. Looking back, Weiss and the others had never been considered people in their own right. They were always specimens, weapons, tools, created and intended to be used by others. Even death hadn't saved him from the precedent, as he had been purposely revived to serve the purpose of another.

No matter how many times he and the others earned their freedom, people would always see them in the same light. This time, however, Weiss was determined to keep that freedom, and anyone who came along trying to take it from him again would be hard-pressed to do so. He was on his guard and prepared, not willing to find himself in the clutches of another so easily.

Even now, he followed Genesis' every word carefully, following along and realizing exactly what he wanted to do. So, he listened, a small smirk on his own face, as Genesis presented his pitch. His own confidence radiated, as he didn't move or flinch as Genesis approached, not even when the contact was made. Instead, his eyes eyes danced back and forth with calm amusement as they looked into the other mans, narrowing dangerously when Genesis finished.

"I am no puppet, not anymore," he said, confidentally, not taking his eyes off of the other man. Weiss intended to make it quite clear that he would no longer be used. "If you want to follow, fine, but I will lead." The statement was crisp and final, and to further show that he was done with the conversation, he turned and walked away, letting the conversation end abruptly to hang in the air.
FIRST PERSON: [Static opens the broadcast, white noise strongly disrupting the transmission for a few moments, until finally it settles. Laughter can be heard replacing the noise as it clears, until it, too, eventually dies down.]

How long has it been? How much has the world changed in my absence?

The wait is now over. I've given you years to catch up, improve... I hope you've used them wisely. [More brief laughter filters through.] Now is the time to see just how much you've learned.

Consider it a test, my friends, to apply your new skills, test your new boundaries, throw away your fear.

It is I against you, and I'd hate to be disappointed. I'm not ready for you all to die.

Yet.

You're already off to a bad start, so allow me to enlighten you. You might want to improve your security.

[There is a voice in the background of a man sputtering, pleading, before a gunshot brings it to a halt. The laughter starts again, feeding through for a few brief moments before the transmission cuts off.]
