Learned to cook in the castle kitchens and contemplated pursuing that for a while before Ansem took him on as an apprentice. For sustenance, fond of cooking spagetti: filling and hearty. Dislikes it when compatriots are hungry; everyone should be in top condition.
Favorite short story is Kefka's "Metamorphosis". Is going to acquire a plethora of mismatched chipped secondhand mugs. Slept restlessly when he had his heart. Sleeps now only a little at a time, more when he's badly injured or has been ill and needs to recuperate.
Likes the smell of peppermint and snow. Never brings any book besides a cookbook into the kitchen, and is careful then. Never eats while reading. Dislikes the smell of permanent markers (they give him a headache). Always keeps a glass of water by the bedside (proper hydration is important).
Dislikes being too cold. Dislikes eating anything too messy (it's hard to look dignified while you're licking your fingers). Coffee > tea - he really doesn't have any latent fondness for the taste but late nights at his books and in the labs have endowed him with an inclination for the former in spite of himself, so he drinks coffee when he needs to work and tea when he needs to relax.
Wears house slippers. Does not care much for knickknacks but will not throw them away if they are gifts because that is rude. Prefers (unsurprisingly) cool colors. Fond of peaches.
Played marbles as a child; was good at it, seeing how his moves would influence others, remembers his favorite very clearly: a cat's eye with a wisp of sea green running through the glass.
