Embedded Modular Cameras
Embedded Modular Cameras
The illunis EMC (Embedded Modular Camera) line of cameras are ultra high resolution, affordable, lightweight camera solutions for aerial imaging and mapping, drones, embedded systems and industrial applications. The EMC product line is produced in two major formats: EMC and EMC2
EMC cameras are designed to be used in embedded solutions where size, weight, and power consumptions are driving factors. The EMC family is primarily based on full frame and smaller sensors; they output camera link on standard connectors or a Samtec ribbon cable to a M.2 capture card called the mf2280 from Epix Inc. The same ribbon interface can be adapted to a customers custom FPGA implementation. The data on the ribbon cable is standard 85Mhz camera link signals.
EMC2 cameras are design to use large format sensors and have 10GigE interfaces, allowing for higher framerates at full resolution and significantly longer data cable lengths. These cameras can be connected to standard 10G Ethernet cards in addition to compact M.2 module options.
