Still no news. Today marks three months since she vanished. We are lighting virtual candles to go along with the vigil in Escondido. If anyone is interested in lighting one for her, here is the link: http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=Amber. Just click on one of the candles that hasn't been initialed. So far only 2 countries are listed as lighting candles. I have so many wonderful flisters here from all over the world. If you light one for my cousin, please let me know. Thanks

Finally, a possible lead. San Diego news featured this news segment regarding a mystery truck parked at the high school the morning that my cousin vanished. Am posting it here, who knows if someone might have seen it somewhere in the US. http://www.10news.com/video/19268521/index.html "The police have ruled out all of the teachers and faculty associated with the school," McGonigle said. Investigators say the truck is suspicious because it did not drop off any kids. What makes the video so compelling is that it shows the truck entering the parking lot and then leaving at about the same time Amber was last seen walking by the parking lot on North Broadway, McGonigle said. A description, The video shows the truck entering the maintenance parking lot, stopping for about three minutes and then exiting from the same way back to Broadway. The truck is described as burgundy or maroon and has chrome bed rails or tie-down rails with chrome running boards and wheels. It appears the tailgate is missing or the truck has a modified black tailgate to accommodate a fifth-wheel trailer.

Amber's missing child flyer Escondido news information We are waiting for the news service to get on the ball and do something. My cousin is still under heavy sedation and the family is in turmoil. I feel both helpless and devastated as well as frustration that we can not make people work faster, harder more aggressively. Sitting here waiting is just so hard. Every time the phone rings its ominous, will this be bad news or good news and my stomach flips in apprehension. Once again thank you to all the kind words and support from my flisters. Christine |

Around 5 years ago I stumbled upon the LoTR fandom. One of the very first stories I read caught my attention and kept me riveted. I spent so much time reading through it, wondering what might happen and how things would work out. I even left a review. Turns out that I would soon form a friendship with the author, panneth. Her novella From Tragedy to Triumph has always been one of my favorites. From Legolas' elfhood through becoming an adult, to the good ship Imedhuir and even a foray into the married Darcy's of Pemberly, I have had the great privelege of reading and enjoying some of her writing. Today I got to meet her in person. She is now known to me as Emma or The brilliant astrophysicist from what'sthatplace again...oh yeah Oxford! We met at her hotel and then I drove her in my behemoth of a SUV down the coast a bit to California Pizza Kitchen. We spent the time giggling about all things from British Lit, to British actors, to Twilight's James' washboard abs, then to Battlestar Galactica where she shared with me that when things blow up in space, there isn't any sound. Cool. I feel smarter now, wee! She has the loveliest accent and such pretty eyes that sparkle when she is being funny. I had such a wonderful time. It really is a great thing to meet someone I have known for a long while, in person. To hear her voice, to share stories and talk about everything and nothing. And it makes my regency muse hungry to get to work. Oh yeah, daydreaming about earls and countesses was a real treat! Tomorrow she goes back home. The weather here was mild and sunny, a perfect end for her trip. I really hope she got to do some last minute touristy things. Cause, well Ems, hehe remember Rugby. Bathing. Dudes. Yay, now work work work. Anyways, a quick thank you to Emma for having lunch with me and sharing the afternoon talking about so much stuff. Mostly England. Now, there are so many others left on my flist I wish to meet as well. If only you would all come out to conferences so I could take you to lunch too. I hope everyone is well. Keeks

While I was lingering about the waiting room this morning- for another one of my numerous doctor's apointments- I realized I had forgotten to bring along something to read. So like everyone else in the waiting room I picked up one of the magazines that was sitting there in a nice, tidy little stack. I thumbed through the pages not really interested in any of the content (an empty stomach has a way of being rather distracting) but flipping nonetheless. Then I saw this ad for a cologne and I just sat there staring at it, thinking about how totally yummy he looked. ![]() I haven't written a darn word in ages, heck I can't even concentrate past this complete and utter exhaustion- I am lucky I recalled the directions to the doctor this morning. But then as I viewed the ad I just wanted with this total and complete devistation to be better, to be back to normal enough to actually take that picture and make -- something out of it. God I miss everyone so very much. As a Keek-treat, to make up for my absence and neglect I offer you eyecandy....mmmmm Triton, Eros, Merc??? Those lips.....somewhere in that writer part of my brain, which is tucked back behind the many concerns and fears I have at the moment, is a lovely hawt scene being knit together for later use. Hugs K ( Ad campaigns that inspireCollapse ) |
