Fostering regional, national and international networks that support our organizations, advocate for the IBCLC profession, and contribute to global policy and advocacy actions and resources.
Adhering to the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes and all subsequent relevant WHA resolutions
Promoting mutual organizational growth and development through the sharing of knowledge, experience and educational resources.
Maintaining organizational autonomy and mutual respect.

Eligibility:

Vision & Mission: Your organisation shares a vision and mission similar to ILCA.
Code Compliance: Your organisation adheres to the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes; ILCA encourages your leadership team to complete the Introduction to the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes (2nd Edition).
Organisation Type: Your organisation must fall into one of the following member-based categories:
- National or Multinational IBCLC / LC Membership Association: Professional bodies representing those delivering skilled lactation care across a country or across multiple nations.
- Local or Area-based IBCLC / LC Membership Association: Organised member-based groups of skilled lactation care professionals representing a specific region, province, or local area.
- Peer Support or Breastfeeding Counsellor Membership Organisation: Organisations that maintain a formal membership of trained peer supporters and breastfeeding counsellors.

ILCA membership requirements:

To qualify for the Global Partner Program, your organisation must meet the following minimum thresholds for individual ILCA memberships among your staff or members:

Organisations with 20 or fewer members: At least 2 individuals must be ILCA members.
Organisations with 21 – 99 members: At least 5 individuals must be ILCA members.
Organisations with 100+ members: At least 10 individuals must be ILCA members.

NOTE: Please note that private education providers, for-profit companies, and commercial entities without a formal membership structure are ineligible for the Global Partner Program.

Benefits for Global Partner organizations:

30% discounted ILCA membership for your members. Includes all usual ILCA membership benefits and digital access to the Journal of Human Lactation (JHL).
Partner page on ILCA’s website: to include your organization’s logo, live link and organizational profile
Exclusive Partner Branded badge: A high-resolution ILCA Partner Badge to use across your marketing/website
Promotional Graphics: highlighting the partnership to use across your communication channels.

Additionally there may be the opportunity to:

Participate in virtual meetings with ILCA and other Partners.
Contribute to global policy and advocacy actions and resources.
Translate ILCA documents into your own language (following ILCA’s guidelines).
Disseminate partner-provided information where applicable (your organization’s events, advocacy tools, publications etc).

Application Process

Global Partners will:

Provide your organization’s logo to include on ILCA’s website and in joint promotional materials.
Distribute two social media posts and two emails to your members each year highlighting ILCA membership; ILCA will provide the approved content.
Promote ILCA’s conference on your website and social media or newsletter.

Application:

Please review the application form below carefully and gather your documentation.
Complete and submit your application. A one-time application fee applies. Once submitted, the application will be reviewed by the ILCA team within 3 weeks.
Your organization will be notified of the status of your application.
Upon approval your organization will sign the partnership agreement and receive access to the associated Global Partner Program benefits.

Global Partner Fees:

ILCA has a sliding scale of Global Partner fees aligned with the World Bank Economy Indicators.

The application fee for your application is determined by your country.
The Global Partner annual fee is determined by your country and the size of the membership of your organization. See full details here.
