ILC Diliman Hosts UVLe ‘26 Training for Faculty

With the recent launch of UP Diliman’s official Learning Management System (LMS), UVLe ’26, the Interactive Learning Center Diliman (ILCD) promised a variety of training sessions aimed at mastering the new platform. As planned, ILCD hosted a three-day repetitive training session for the new UVLe ’26, which happened on February 9, 11, and 13, 2026, at the University Computer Center.
The program was split into two sessions: the AM sessions titled “Transitioning to UVLe ‘26 & Basic UVLe ‘26 for Faculty,” which focused on the UI changes, transferring UVLe ‘22 classes to the new platform, as well as showcasing some of the new features.
The training formally opened with an opening ceremony led by ILCD Director, Associate Professor Miguel Francisco Remolona, who delivered the opening speech and emphasized the importance of UVLe ’26 in strengthening digital teaching and learning at the university.
The project was headed by the ILCD Program Development Associate (PDA) for Education Technology, Assistant Professor Jessica Junio-Jimenez, while the training was led by faculty trainers Assistant Professor Carlo Angelo Sonday, Assistant Professor Jake Avila, Professor Elenita Que, and Assistant Professor Adelson Chua, who also serves as an ILCD PDA.

ILC Diliman Co-Leads the 5th AUN-TEPL Symposium Student Engagement and Technology-Enhanced Personalized Learning
The University of the Philippines Diliman has been selected to host the 5th AUN-TEPL Symposium this year. This symposium will provide a platform for educators to explore strategies for leveraging technology in personalized learning and enable participants to engage with international experts, enriching their perspectives on different learning technologies.
With University of the Philippines Diliman being the designated host for this year’s ASEAN University Network-Technology Enhanced Personalized Learning (AUN-TEPL) Symposium titled “Student Engagement and Technology-Enhanced Personalized Learning,” the Interactive Learning Center Diliman (ILCD), along with the other offices under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA), spearheaded the event which took place at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City campus on October 2, 2025.

We Create
ILC Diliman’s learning materials include Learning Objects, Podcast and Vodcast. These materials are useful and efficient for online learners. One can play and replay the Podcasts and Vodcasts, and learn and take online assessments in Learning Objects. Learning Objects (LOs) are .swf or flash objects developed to provide interactive and reusable teaching materials online, Podcast are compiled audio recording of educational topics, while Vodcast are compiled videos of educational topics. We have a total of 73 LOs categorized into 10 subjects (art studies, biochem, economics, english, mass com, chemistry, eng science, math, physics, and speech com). Podcasts are from 5 categories (Education, Engineering, Events, Science, and Science, Technology, and Society) and Vodcasts have 6 categories (Economics, Education, Engineering, Events, Science, Science, Technology, and Society, Social Science, and Third world Lecture Series).
