IE Plugin by TP-Link is a legacy browser add-on that enables live video, playback, and advanced controls for compatible TP-Link network devices—such as IP cameras and NVRs—when accessed through Microsoft Internet Explorer. The plug-in installs the necessary ActiveX components to display H.264/H.265 video streams, support features like PTZ control, two-way audio, snapshots, and local recording to your PC, and unlock configuration options that require desktop integration.

Designed for Windows PCs running Internet Explorer (typically versions 8–11), the IE Plugin is not supported by modern browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Firefox, except when Edge is used in Internet Explorer mode. For newer environments, TP-Link recommends using dedicated client software or mobile apps where available.

Note: Internet Explorer has reached end of life. Use this plug-in only when required by older devices and ensure your system and browser settings meet your organization’s security policies.
