Teams must be <= 4 participants

Project and Submission Requirements

  1. 5 minute presentation & prepare for 5 minute Q&A with judges
    1. In your presentation, include the following:
      1. Describe the problem your solution addresses & how it relates to the track you selected
      2. How does your solution address the problem?
      3. Who is the target customer/audience of your solution?
      4. Prototype demonstration
      5. How do you envision this product developing into the future?
  2. Prototype (e.g. Figma wireframe, video/demo): Anything that demonstrates how you envision your product might function! Not necessarily a fully functional model
  3. Social Media Advertisement: Should your project place in the top overall and progress into the social media round, we’ll advertise this for you on a social media platform. Should someone click on your post, it should take them to your prototype somehow (when you submit, give us a URL to link your ad to). See the guidebook for more details.
    1. Acceptable Media (for each piece of media): 1) Maximum file size: 30MB 2) Minimum width & height: 600 pixels 3) Up to 5 pieces of media are allowed (image or video)

Prizes

Track Prizes

The top teams for each track will receive a donation under their team members’ names to their respective non profits ($300). The track prize winners will be determined solely by the presentation on the second day of IDEATE.

Grand Prize

The top 5 overall submissions will have the chance to market their products! Each of the top 5 teams will be given $50 dollars of online advertising credit to gauge the public’s interest in their product.

 

The grand prize will go to the top overall team (based on presentation and public interest) and will be a donation of $300. (Theoretically you can win both a track prize and the grand prize!)
