pictures from the pierrot HQ. #10, 11: lyrics from pierrot's "answer" (translation at centigrade-j.com, here)- "bathing in the scorching rays i think of death" and "this reality that no one has yet bothered to see" #12: "jun: trying not to look as fluffy as he really is" (because he really is, you know... *cough*)
This batch was inspired by listening to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Beethoven's Last Night, some anime icons that expressed a style (that I think is) best used in some of midzilla's older icons, and my inability to find any good Gackt wallpapers. The usual rules (commenting and crediting) appply. ^.^
please comment and credit! and share and enjoy, of course. as much as i love using faded colors, i started feeling like a one-trick monkey so i forced myself to make these icons differently than i usually do-- thus the bright and colorful. tell me if you're a fan of the bright&colorful thing or if it hurts your eyes. ^.^; i'll also change the text per request.
Current Music: V6- Miracle Starter ~mirai de snowflake~ '99 version
credit, because it makes me happy. in the words of crumblingwalls, "Comments are also supernice, because I'm lame and look for validation of my self-worth through LiveJournal." and we know how that is. #3, 4, 7, and 8 have quotes from Rent. #4 reads "he had the world at his feet" (from "one song glory"- the rest are from "rent"). visit my icon site for more, and go look at the new layout.
i don't like how #3 and #4 look on non-white backgrounds. however, i've tried making the white parts transparent in two different ways. although both were technically successful, they didn't look great. they might not look awful, but they don't look great. if you really want a transparent version of one of them, tell me and i'll make it, but this is your warning that the transparent versions do not fit with my aesthetic taste.
