Listens: Skillet - Rebirthing

[x] Made in CS3
[x] Not transferable (Curves + Selective Color used)

Step 01:
- Create your base (mine is cropped from this image). It's a little dark, so we need to lighten it.
- Duplicate layer 01, set layer style to screen. It's still a little dark, so we'll lighten it a little more. This is layer 02.
- Duplicate the layer again, set layer style to screen. This is Layer 03.

-->

Step 02:
- Now that the base is a lighter, we need to sharpen the image a little.
- Filter, Sharpen, sharpen.
- But the image is a little too sharp, so then we need to lessen the effect.
- Fade sharpen [ctrl + shift + f], set to 40%

-->

Step 03:
- Now we need to give the icon a warmer tone - it'll produce a wider range on the palette for colouring.
- Create new layer, fill with a warm golden colour (I used #f98700)
- Set layer style to soft light, lower opacity to 60%

-->

Step 04:
- The image is a little washed out in places, so we need to create some contrast.
- Layer, New Adjustment Layer, Curves
- This is what my curve set ended up looking like:

, but fiddle with yours and see what works out best for your own icon.

-->

Step 05:
- Aww, but now poor Caspian's looking a bit green around the gills. :(
- Layer, New Adjustment Layer, Selective Color
- Settings:
Reds: (Cyan/0) (Magenta/+22) (Yellow/+08) (Black/0)
Yellows: (Cyan/0) (Magenta/+25) (Yellow/+11) (Black/+15)
Blacks: (Cyan/0) (Magenta/+32) (Yellow/+49) (Black/+84)

-->

Step 06:
- So, not so green, but the background could be better.
- Layer, New Adjustment Layer, Selective Color
- Settings:
Reds: (Cyan/0) (Magenta/+3) (Yellow/+25) (Black/0)
Yellows: (Cyan/0) (Magenta/0) (Yellow/-27) (Black/0)

-->

Step 07:
- Yay, almost there! But we need to know who the pretty boy is, so we'll add text.
- The font I used is 'LunaBar', size 12, colour white.
- It doesn't quite stand out, so we'll make it glowy.
- Add layer effect --> outer glow, white @ 100%

-->

Step 08:
- I'm kinda nitpicky and in love with tiny text, so I added a small tiny text brush just under the text.

-->

Step 09:
- YUS, we have finished. Almost.
- Why aren't we finished? Because we have to add a border.
- Go back to Layer 01
- Set layer style to stroke, size 1, inside, black, opacity to 60%

-->

Yay. All done! My Layers

[x] This is my first tutorial, so PLEASE tell me what you think of it - is it helpful? Confusing? Completely ridiculous? Con crit is ftw. Yeah.
