A CM meme posted at criminalxminds over here a couple of days ago.
- Pick five characters and five pairings, number them 1-10. (vary it up a bit and don't just choose main characters).
- Set your music player to shuffle and assign songs 2-11 to numbers 1-10, and say whether you think the song fits them or not.

Also, I had far too much fun with this. And I cheated in so far as I skipped all foreign and instrumental tracks that came up.

It fits in bits and pieces, I think. You can apply various aspects to her relationship with her mother, others, with her relationship to others in the team. These two lines here - sometimes I'm bold and brash; and sometimes I'm prone to crash // sometimes I say too much; and sometimes it's not enough fits her quite well.

Dude, freaky. Oh Eddie Cibrian, why must thee be an awesome serial killer? I don't think the song fit too much, actually, despite the lyrics.

Oh, Elle, you were so messed up by the time you left. Yeah, I do think the song fit.

04. Aaron Hotchner; Burn - Nine Inch Nails, Natural Born Killers OST

Uh, no. Just no. At all. Actually, this could have have worked with Joe Smith. Or you know, if Hotch turned up as a serial killer somewhere down the line.

05. Kevin Lynch; Shine It All Around - Robert Plant, Mighty Rearranger

these are the arms for the holding
turn on your love light shine it all around

Yeah, this song doesn't fit him at all. But I have to admit, Nicholas Brendon will always be Xander to me, though this doesn't fit him either.

06. Emily Prentiss/Aaron Hotchner; Inevitable - Anberlin, Cities

amazing how life turns out, the way that it does.

I love this song, honestly. It's so sweet. It does fit them somewhat, if you do ship them.

07. Derek Morgan/Penelope Garcia; Out of Phase - Sugarcult, Lights Out

we walk alone like broken motorists. Behind the bars and discotechs.
love is product and sex is a currency. We're all cheaters and can't win.
imagine the girl holding by will paint a picture of a kinder, gentler war.
and our good scenes that have no ending.

It's a cool song, but so definitely doesn't fit either of them, even if you squint and turn your head.

08. Emily Prentiss/Derek Morgan; All I Have To Give - Backstreet Boys, Backstreet's Back

but my love is all I have to give
without you I don't think I could live
i wish I could give the world to you
but love is all I have to give

Lol, this was the first band I was into as a pre-teen. If you've seen deleted scenes from 2.16 - Fear and Loathing, you'll know that Reid asked Morgan if he liked Prentiss, and Morgan was all, women like her don't go for guys like me, or something to that effect. Yeah, I didn't ship Prentiss/Hotch and Morgan/Garcia, then that scene alone would have made me ship these two.

09. Jennifer Jareau/Spencer Reid; Walk Away - Sevendust, Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow

Um, yeah, no. As much as these two would be cute together, I think eventually, J.J. would want someone more take charge than Reid. And the song doesn't fit.

10. Jennifer Jareau/David Rossi; Warm - Eight, Moving

I actually like this 'ship, but the song, while really nice, doesn't fit so much. Maybe if you squint.
