Bright Coloring Tuturial #1

Tuturial for the brightly-colored-icon-challenged  :)

Step oo1: Take, crop to 100x100, and do whatever necessary things to your base before we begin!

 

Step oo2: duplicate the base layer by right clicking over it on the ‘Layers’ tablet, and select ‘duplicate layer’. On the copied layer, change the blending option where it is set to ‘Normal’ and press the arrow until you find ‘Screen’. Next to this, lower the ‘Opacity’ to about 50%.

 
Step oo3: repeat step oo2, but instead of ‘Screen’, look for ‘Soft Light’ and lower the ‘Opacity’ to about 90%

 
Step oo4: Now ‘Flatten’ to where at the top it says ‘Layers’, and select this function.

 

Step oo5:  By either making a new ‘Selective Color’ layer, or simply using your base and going to ‘Image’ at the top of your screen, then to ‘Adjustments’, and finally to ‘Selective Color’ to these settings:

           

            Yellows-

                        Cyan: -51

                        Magenta: +40

                        Yellow: +20

                        Black: +10

 

            Greens:

                        Cyan: +43

                        Magenta: +47

                        Yellow: +41

                        Black: +100

 

Step oo6: Duplicate the base again and set it to ‘Soft Light’ and ‘Opacity’ to about 90%. Flatten image once again.

 
Step oo7: Finally, duplicate the base one last time and right click the copy and click on ‘Blending Options’. On the left side of this new window, check mark the little box that says ‘Inner Glow’. Flatten image one more time.

 

Step oo8: Add any texture or brush & You’re done!!
