Need help finding a texture/lighting tut

Someone posted a while back a way to change the colour of a texture, so that a lighting texture which started out red becomes blue, etc. I cannot for the life of me find said tutorial, and if anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged! Thanks in advance!
