"Retro" Photo Color.
To put this simple, I'm trying to figure out how to get a certain color effect. It's sort of like a retro 60's/70's sort of tint. Where the colors are muted, but are vibrant at the same time (if that makes sense). I scanned the cover of The Beatles Abbey Road CD so you get what I mean.
Yes, I have looked in the memories. Over and over again. And I haven't found what I'm looking for. The closest I came to finding out more about this sort of coloring was in this post.. and while it did help me some by understanding the "Curves" option more, it didn't help me out overall. I tried every suggestion that was posted, so please don't tell me that this question has been asked before. It doesn't look like your normal "duplicate>>soft light>>desaturate>>exclusion layer>>light blue layer" type of thing.
Can anyone help me? I have Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro 7. I never usually have problems figuring these things out for myself, but this one is just prooving to be really frustrating. Is it only something you can get with a camera? Or is it something I can achieve in PS? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated =)
