Need help with cutouts in CS

Hey! I have a problem when using the point-to-point lasso to cut out parts of images in CS. It seems the cut isn't "clean", I always get one or two pixels of white around the selected part. That's a pain when I want to paste onto a background of another color, so is there any way I can get rid of it?
