oh no

so i was checking out a tutorial at psp8_fun and it said to find a glitter and save it and then open it up in animation shop

so i searched google for a glitter fill. i found some cool ones but when i went to save it, the only option for saving was .bmp!

is there a way i can get it to save as a .gif? does anyone else have this problem?
