A question

I'm trying to make an animated icon because I've never done it before. I made and saved a bunch of individual pictures that I want to use in a certain order, but the problem is, I don't know how to put them all on one later pallate to transfer into Image Ready. I tried copying and pasting the layers on top of each other, but once I got to the second text later, all that showed up was the text and not the background fill color.

I want it to be like this where each piture is a frame of animation:
