I'm pretty bored with my lj icons. Does anybody know of any good or at least active icon communities?  I can't seem to find any. Or I'm not looking in the right place.

I'd prefer HP or other fandom icons, but any type will do.

As most of you know, I've recently rejoined the HP fandom after several years away. It's been difficult to get back into writing, but I completed my first longish HP fic in years for the ron_draco_fest.   It's the first time I ever wrote Ron/Draco and the pairing was a challenge. I won't pretend that it's the best story I've ever written. However, I'm proud that I was able to complete it and participate in the fest. Finishing that piece, even if it was a struggle, has motivated me to keep working hard on my DTH fic, so progress is being made.  = D

If you're interesting in reading this mostly pre-slash fic, you can read it here  or on AO3.  The story involves Ron and Draco as Auror partners and has Draco reluctantly pining after Ron. There always seems to be pining and jealousy in my fics. I can't help it. They are my fav tropes. Since I decided I couldn't write smut for a first time pairing, I wanted to explore their relationship as partners and more importantly, Draco's motivations for being an Auror as well as his feelings for Ron. There are a lot of Auror Draco fics, especially in the H/D fandom, but I find many never talk about why Draco became an Auror in the first place.

Also, it was way too fun spending time in Draco's neurotic head again! I can imagine that if he ever did develop feelings for Ron, his mind would probably explode. I hope you enjoy reading it. And thanks again to all the lovely people, who read and commented during the fest. ♥

This is kind of a random question. However, I was wondering how people felt about chapter summaries in stories. On AO3 there's an option to include chapter summaries too. Is this something that readers like or would you rather be surprised?  

Personally, I would rather be surprised as long as I know the pairing and warnings.
