HySEas introduces an integrated technological system that enables green hydrogen production directly from seawater, addressing key technical challenges across the entire value chain. As illustrated in the concept diagram below, the process is structured into upstream, midstream, and downstream stages, each playing a specific role in ensuring efficiency and reliability. The upstream phase focuses on resource recovery and preparation, where seawater is conditioned and valuable elements are managed to enable stable operation. This feeds into the midstream stage, where hydrogen is produced through electrolysis under controlled conditions, and finally into the downstream stage, which concerns the handling and use of the generated hydrogen.
