Writer's Block: Father figure

There has been many occasions where my dad has given me the most wonderful advice, but the one that came up to my mind first was this:
"If you reach for the sky, you can at least touch the tree top."
This piece of advice was given to me when I was feeling very down, not confident in my abilities and confused about my future. With this, my dad was telling me to give my best and choose whatever I wanted to do with my life.
I'll never forget this. Thanks, dad.
