The event will begin at 8:30am on September 30th at Lick-Wilmerding High School and end at 11:00pm.
Eligibility
You must be a high school student to attend. Please bring a student ID so we can verify that you are a student!
Project and Submission Requirements
All project work must be done by you or your team while on site at Hyphen-Hacks. If you are found to have used code or a project from before the event or written by another person, your entry may be disqualified. We reserve the right to disqualify your entry for any reason, including reasons not listed on this page.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Your submissions will be judged by a panel of judges from the tech industry, who will pick winners in a multitude of categories. Winners will be given or shipped their prize after the hackathon!
Code of Conduct
Hyphen-Hacks is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following:
- gender
- gender identity and expression
- age
- sexual orientation
- disability
- physical appearance
- body size
- race
- ethnicity
- nationality
- religion
- political views
- previous hackathon attendance or lack of
- computing experience or lack of
- chosen programming language or tech stack
We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following.
- hacks
- talks, presentations, or demos
- workshops
- any parties associated to the hackathon
- social media
- any other online media
Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon at the discretion of the hackathon organisers. We reserve the right to expell any participant for any reason, including reasons not listed above.
