Hynafol is a fully immersive live medieval fantasy experience set in a medieval world of knights, magic, quests, and epic battles. Imagine stepping into your favorite fantasy novel or TV show, except you get to be the hero.
Some players dive into roleplay and negotiate peace treaties, others solve puzzles and mysteries, and some simply enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and watching the battles unfold.
At Hynafol, everyone has a place whether you want to be on the front lines of an epic battle with sword and shield, collect herbs and brew potions as an alchemist, sneak around and steal artifacts as a thief, perform rituals as a mage or just soak in the magic of living in another world for a week.
When you step into Hynafol, you are not just watching the legend, you are helping to write it. You can fight on the battlefield, go on quests, solve puzzles and mysteries, or simply live for a time in another world.
At its heart, Hynafol is a LARP (Live Action Role Play) a game where you play a character inside the story and shape how the adventure unfolds.
You don’t need to know how to sword fight, act, or even have a costume to start.
We’ll guide you every step of the way, from choosing a character to joining a court and exploring the story.
What is a LARP?
You are not watching the story. You are the character.
LARP stands for Live Action Role Play, it’s like stepping into a movie or a video game, except you’re not just watching or controlling a character… you are the character.
In a LARP, the story unfolds around you in real time. You dress the part, speak in character (if you want to), and make choices that change the world for everyone else playing. Some moments feel like a grand battle scene, some like a tense mystery, and others like a quiet tavern night filled with whispers and secrets.

At its heart, Hynafol is a narrative you help create. You can slip into character as deeply as you like, speak in medieval tones, or just play yourself as if you lived in a world of knights and magic.
Roleplay means making choices: negotiating peace treaties, uncovering secrets, brewing potions, or scheming in the shadows. Every decision adds a new thread to the legend.
A Day in the life at Hynafol
Mornings bring battles, quests, and training; afternoons bring councils, missions, and secrets; nights shift to feasts, songs, rituals.
Combat at Hynafol
Players fight with realistic-looking foam latex weapons designed to be safe in combat but cinematic to watch.
Fae Protection Bands
For players who do not want combat, Fae Protection Bands allow non-combat status while staying immersed in the world.
