Projects

We’re excited to be unlocking the full potential of hydrogen alongside a wide range of customers globally. Learn more about our promising projects here.

Arda Energy (formerly known as Agri-E) was one of our first project partners. The company is a system integrator developing turnkey, container-based solutions for extracting hydrogen and green CO₂ from biogas. Arda Energy will use Hydrogen Mem-Tech's membrane technology to produce pure hydrogen for use across applications such as transportation and industrial production.

Arda Energy's systems are designed for decentralised and scalable energy production. By utilising hydrogen and green CO₂, they aim to improve energy-efficiency and reduce carbon footprints in the biogas industry and beyond.

Alongside SINTEF Industry Hydrogen Mem-Tech is currently conducting research on recovering hydrogen from ammonia using our membrane technology. This is an innovation project for the industrial sector funded in part by the Research Council of Norway, with project number 332357

Ammonia (NH3) is a highly promising hydrogen carrier predicted to play an important role in the new hydrogen economy. The molecule has a high hydrogen content, is easier to liquefy and store than Hand also carbon-free.

The PALLAMONIA project’s main objective is to use Hydrogen Mem-Tech’s commercial palladium-based separation technology to recover high purity hydrogen from NH3, potentially for use as fuel, and particularly in the marine sector.

Hydrogen Mem-Tech is proud to be part of HYDROGENi: a new centre for environmentally friendly energy research within hydrogen and ammonia established by the Research Council of Norway.

As one of the centre’s industry partners we are contributing NOK 2M in investments, expertise and equipment.

Hydrogen Mem-Tech is collaborating with SOLID, a spin-off from Eindhoven University of Technology, to enhance the efficiency of iron-based hydrogen storage systems.

The collaboration will integrate Hydrogen Mem-Tech’s palladium-based membrane technology into SOLID’s Steam Iron Reactor (SIR) system, improving hydrogen purification and energy efficiency.

The partnership commenced with lab-scale testing in March 2025, focusing on evaluating membrane performance under various operating conditions. Upon successful validation, plans are in place to integrate our technology into SOLID’s second-generation SIR2 system, with further testing scheduled for 2026/2027.
