Joerg Huber is an innovative IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Executive driving digital transformation and secure technology strategies in the banking sector. Proven track record in modernizing enterprise IT landscapes, implementing hybrid cloud and VDI solutions, and embedding cyber resilience across mission-critical operations to enable business growth and operational excellence.
He has been with Metzler since 2005 and served as the bank’s IT Security Officer from 2012 to 2016.
From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Huber worked for GIS GmbH, a subsidiary of DZ-Bank AG in Frankfurt/Main. Here he was responsible for infrastructure/server development and further developed the financial information system and the satellite network (Satlynx).
In 1994, Mr. Huber worked at Capgemini in Munich as a software developer and consultant. He began his professional career in 1993 in the research department for radio technology at Ascom AG in Zurich, Switzerland.
Mr. Huber holds a degree in Technical Computer Science, a degree in Business Economics, a university certificate in information and communication systems (IT security) and an M. Eng. in IT Security and Forensics. He completed his studies at the Friedberg University of Applied Sciences, the Chemnitz Technical University and the Wismar University of Applied Sciences.
