Somewhere around 2016, Wendy and a few other Human Resource Officers from leading contractor comapnies formed an AD Hoc Committee with the TDOT to begin a federally funded program to train prison inmates to be construction workers upon their release. She was instrumental in helping my boss, Sherree Hall Crowder and me to make this program highly successful. This program received national recognition. Wendy and one or two other contractors wrote the curriculum and directed the classroom instruction. She also helped to screen the inmates selected for the program. Simply put, I am not sure the program would have worked without her participation.
