1972 MG MGB

My dad start restoration of this car, but had a stroke a year ago and is unable to finish. The car was running before he had the stroke, but hasn’t since. Has brand new tires, and new top that needs to be installed. I don’t think it would take a lot to get this running, and it would make a good project. Asking $4000, but it’s negotiable. Car is located in Willis, TX, north of Conroe, in a subdivision that is on Lake Conroe off of FM 1097.

I have a 1980 MGB for sale that I have owned since 2004.

During that time I have driven it approximately 4000 miles.

The odometer mileage is 32,400

In the time I have owned it I have done or added the following:

New exhaust

New tires

New radiator and hoses

New brakes complete including new master cylinder

New electronic fuel pump

New oil pan gasket

All new front suspension bushings and rail arms

Also, just prior to my acquiring the car, the interior

was refurbished including seats and upholstery

A 1967 MGB GT Special. 51,000 mile, rock solid West Coast car. Last year before emissions. Recent trade-school repaint looks great from five feet away. Mostly new interior, including mahogany steering wheel and RetroSound audio. Mechanically all original except Mallory HEI, Weber DCOE and new high-torque starter. Includes decades of paperwork, the original California license plates, a big box of new parts (mostly unopened), manuals and a stack of wire wheels for parts or restore. Weathershield HD fitted cover. No leaks (!).

For Sale- 1956 MG ZB Magnette

I have owned KAB 43/19975 for over 20 years but now other commitments (the restoration of a 1949 MG YT) require my attention and garage space.

The car is not perfect, there is no rust, the car runs well and is a good dependable daily driver. Major repairs and upgrades are listed below. Detailed descriptions of parts, materials and cost are available.

Engine rebuild completed in 2019 by 5-R restorations including new brake lines, new high torque starter, Pertronix Electronic Ignition, new water pump, re-core radiator.

Stainless steel exhaust

Complete wiring harness

All lamps (except headlights) replaced with LED's

Dynamat sound and Noico heat liners applied to all interior surfaces

New carpet installed

Re-chrome both bumpers, they are beginning to show their age.

Window channels need to be replaced, they are beginning to leak when the car is washed or driven in a hard rain

Although the painted is acceptable it is beginning to show it's age. It was painted in 2003 and has some parking lot nicks. A respray is probably in order.

Replace tires, purchased in December 2008.

Rear window wooden molding needs to be replaced.

1950 MG YA.

Club member David Griffith is assisting the seller with this sale and states he has known the owner and the car since 1985. He notes that the car is in Covington, LA he can assist with transport.

Details: Originally imported from Scotland to New Orleans 45 years ago. Been with the same owner for the last 43 years. Comes with many spares including rebuilt gearbox and fully rebuilt Judson supercharger. Currently has hotted up 1250cc engine. Cam overlap currently prevents using the Judson.

Spare strengthened axles, hydraulic jack system complete. Needs fresh battery and fuel to run. Good tires, brakes are operational but need a flush by now. Sliding sun roof and crank open windshield are some of the fun things on this MG.
