Ordering & Delivery

Hortech, Inc. is a wholesale grower servicing the Great Lakes area garden centers and landscape contractors, as well as other horticulture businesses. We do not sell directly to the public.

To order from Hortech, please contact us by any of the following means:

Customers may pick up Monday through Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:30pm, with advance notice/ordering advised to ensure efficiency in order fulfillment.

Shipping

Shipping is conducted by two methods: UPS (year-round) and truck (April 1st to November 1st). Job site drops for landscapers can be arranged. Walk-in service is available throughout the season during regular business hours. Please phone ahead, when possible, for optimal service.

Zone 1:

Order by 5:00PM on Friday for Tuesday delivery, or by 5:00PM on Wednesday for Friday delivery.

Zone 2:

Order by 5:00PM on Wednesday for Friday delivery.

Zone 3:

Order by 5:00PM on Monday for Wednesday delivery.

Zone 4:

Order by 5:00PM on Tuesday for Thursday delivery.

Zone 5:

Other locations, flexible. Please contact us.

Notes on Shipping

  • Minimum order for truck shipping is 30 flats, 60 flats for Wisconsin and Toledo, Ohio. Smaller quantities accommodated, when possible, but subject to 30 flat equivalent drop charge and sufficient truck minimums.
  • Late orders after the order deadline require a minimum of 100 flats for Grand Rapids and 250 flats for other delivery areas.
  • Fuel surcharges apply as fuel prices dictate.
  • For shipping to other cities or geographic regions than those listed above, please call for a quotation.
  • Shipping by UPS is available for relatively small orders but is clearly not the preferred method. Not only is UPS shipping expensive as it involves boxing, packing material, special labor, and freight charges, it limits what and how we can ship. Ferns and 5 gallon containers cannot be shipped by UPS. Vines must have the stakes removed, and grasses must often be pruned to fit in the boxes.
