public.

My name's Geng Hao, and just so I sound modest, I'm a typical, unsociable and seemingly boring Asian student who looks like the kind who carries a book with him everywhere he goes. But there's definitely more about me to what meets the eye. In truth, I'm a living example of the quote, "Don't judge a book by its cover". Though it's true that I leave bad impressions on others because I get tangled up in embarrassingly awkward moments more often than not. But it's mostly because I have issues with expressing myself well.

After what seemed like ages, I've finally got to designing a blog skin. Well, not really. Anyway, my skills have become less impressive. Still hope you'll support me by rating the skin or marking it as a favourite here.

Caught up with Ailin at Expo's Yummy Chopsticks today. She's still as bubbly as ever! Right now, she's practicing for her new production, where she's playing the role of an Indian Cinderella. As such, she's been lurking around Little India lately in an attempt to do some research and also to get her props. When her final year at NAFA ends, she's gonna head to NIE to train to be a dance teacher and start a small crew next year. Whoa. Apparently, Hui Jie & Yu Yun are going to be the first two members. :P

Anyway, as they're learning dance, I'll be learning the Japanese language. I hope it doesn't prove to be too time-consuming for me. I don't know if Yu Yun's in, too. But I've already decided to learn it, be it alone or with someone.

Before church, Shanggei told me that the Swensen's voucher her sister gave her would expire today, and so she wanted to go to Swensen's after service (a really impromptu decision). We were supposed to treat each other to Swensen's, but we've been putting it off. It wasn't a regrettable decision anyway. ;)

I was so drowsy during service, but Pastor Tan was very skilled at giving his sermon, as usual. His messages can really speak to me. They're also not too draggy and all - though length isn't really an issue.

Didn't dilly-dally too much after service, which was great! Managed to reach Tampines by 8 along with the cell group to have our dinner. After that, everyone headed to Swensen's to have ice-cream. Earthquake, to be exact. :)

We shared ice-cream, but we also shared laughter. There were ice-cream smears all over the table, water was poured on the dry ice, and we got a good dose of entertainment from the waiters. It was fun being with them, in short. It's also been really long since the cell group had a dinner outing like this.

I feel really energised after what happened today. :) It made me feel really blessed to be among E391 and my close friends in school. You readers will never know just how much I love them. And I'm not saying this just to make them happy, for the record. ;)

Usually, I'd have a lot of reasons to be excited for September's arrival - namely, the holidays & the proximity to November, my all-time favourite month of the year.

But this time, September is drawing me closer to a grave but unavoidable predicament. The Big O's are on its way, creeping from beneath the crevices, and like a firm gust of wind, it'll make its swift but sure entrance as October comes knocking on the door.

But what's the point of mentioning all of that? The catch is: I'm horribly unprepared for its arrival. And this feeling of unpreparedness is already trying its best to wake me from my dream. It's starting to barge into my conscience. It's urging me to count my days.

No time to build castles in the air anymore. I really have to buck up, and so I'm going on a self-imposed hiatus from now until November. It's going to be a flexible one, for there's bound to be blog-worthy events that will be happening, despite the exam season (and partially because I'm not 100% confident that I wouldn't touch LiveJournal for the next 2 months). One thing's for sure, though - my posting frequency will definitely see a drastic dip from now on.

To those who're also on the verge of drowning in the bowl of boiling soup I'm in, I wish you all the best. That applies to me, too.
