The Website Refresh
A strategic update for websites with good bones.
Not every business needs to start from scratch. If your existing website is structurally sound but feels outdated, slow, or no longer reflects the quality of your work, a Website Refresh may be the right next step.
This service focuses on improving your existing WordPress site. We keep what is working and improve what is not. This is ideal for businesses that are generally happy with their content and structure, but frustrated by performance issues, outdated design, or usability problems.
The Fit
Is a Refresh right for you?
Good Fit
You already have a WordPress website with solid content
You are comfortable with your current site structure, but dislike the design
Your site feels slow, cluttered, or unreliable
You want meaningful improvements without starting over
Not A Good Fit
Your site was built on a closed platform like Wix or Squarespace and cannot be retrofitted
Your business has changed significantly and needs a new strategy or structure
The underlying technology of your site is outdated or unstable
The Refresh Process Typically Includes:
A Website Refresh improves what exists. It is not a redesign or a rebuild.
01.
Performance Optimization
Removing unnecessary plugins and cleaning up bloat to significantly improve load times.
02.
Visual Modernization
Updating fonts, colors, spacing, and layouts to better align with your current brand.
03.
Mobile Responsiveness
Ensuring your site functions properly across modern devices and screen sizes.
04.
Usability Improvements
Refining navigation and calls to action so visitors can find what they need more easily.
How The Refresh Process Works
Technical Audit
We review how your site was built, identify performance issues, security gaps, and areas that need cleanup.
Design Polish
We apply visual refinements to your existing structure, focusing on clarity, consistency, and professional presentation.
Optimization & Launch
Images are optimized, databases are cleaned, and SEO settings are preserved, including keywords and meta data. Then the refreshed site is prepared for launch.
Website Refresh FAQ
How much does a Website Refresh cost?
Because every existing site is unique, a Website Refresh is quoted based on the complexity of your current build. Most Refresh projects range between $1,500 and $2,500.
A Website Refresh does not include new page builds, major content rewrites, new features, or complex integrations. If deeper structural changes are required, we will recommend a full website build instead.
Ongoing Website Management is required for all Website Refresh projects.
How long does a Website Refresh take?
Most refresh projects are completed within 2 to 4 weeks, depending on scope and responsiveness during review.
Will my site stay live during the process?
Yes. We typically do all the heavy lifting on a staging site (a private copy of your website). Your current site stays live until the moment we are ready to launch the new version.
What happens to my SEO?
We take great care to preserve your existing search engine rankings. We keep your URL structures the same and ensure your meta tags are migrated correctly.
