Ok I have finally finished my Newport Folk Festival Recap. It's 21 pages single spaced in word, so I'm going to break it up into 3 entries (1 for each day of music basically) because there's also photos and videos included. I know it's a lot, but so much happened and I'm excited to share it all.

What is your must-see holiday movie?
One random answer will win a $50 Amazon gift card. [Details here]
I have a few that I watch basically every year:
- Love Actually- So many fabulous actors- this is the way you do a multi-character film based around a holiday. All those other ones are just kidding themselves.
- The Holiday- That movie where you want to date Jack Black and Jude Law. And it always makes me want to move into a fancy LA house and live next to Eli Wallach. Also: Mr. Napkin Head
- The Muppet Christmas Carol- Because you're never too old for Gonzo as Charles Dickens and a song sung by a giant orange haired Ghost of Christmas Present that warms your heart. And how about that scene where young Scrooge loses his true love and then they sing about it with Scrooge of the future being forced to watch- I always tear up.
-Elf- Not much is needed to be said about this one. It's become a kind of new classic. I saw this in the theatre when it first came out and continue to watch it every year.
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas- Yes the Jim Carrey one. The cartoon is a classic, but I have a soft spot for this film. It's just so wacky. Plus you can see a pre-rock star raccoon eyes Taylor Momsen. (And as a kid she's kind of a bad singer...)
(I have comments to reply to btw and I will get to those later tonight)

What was the first band you became a fan of?
The first band I really became a fan of was the Backstreet Boys. Sure I was in love with Nick Carter and hated 'N SYNC (at first), like lots of other BSB fans, but I also truly loved their music and kept loving it through the Black and Blue album. I even did a report on them for my music class, much to my music teacher's chagrin I believe. Even though I've moved on to other (and better) bands, I think if I heard "I Want It That Way" today I'd still remember the lyrics.
