Weekly Art Hour

A creative space to decompress and connect with others. Join us for a weekly hour of art featuring simple, creative prompts designed to spark creativity and encourage personal expression.

Emergency Care

If you or a family member is in crisis or facing an emergency, do not use the Connect With Care email. Go to the nearest emergency room or call the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-TALK(8255).

Available Tuesdays from 10-11 a.m. ET

Creative expression can be a powerful way to reduce stress, build community and support overall well-being. The Home Base Weekly Art Hour offers a welcoming, virtual space to relax, connect with others and spend time engaging in creative activities.

Each session includes a simple art prompt to help spark ideas and make it easy to get started. Participants are also welcome to work on their own creative projects, if they prefer. Sessions are offered in 12-week cycles, giving participants the opportunity to explore a variety of projects and build a sense of continuity and community over time.

This offering is open to Veterans, Service Members and their adult family members (18 years or older). No art experience is needed and most activities can be completed with basic materials like paper and a pen or pencil.

Please note that this is not a therapy group, but rather a relaxed, virtual art space focused on creativity and connection. Participants are welcome to engage at their own pace and sharing artwork is always optional.
