My name is Hoang Samuelson. I’m good at a few things, and indecisive about a lot of things. In the past and present, I’ve dabbled in baking, drawing, photography, writing, reading, and more. Besides reading (which I do every day), none of these above-mentioned activities have happened regularly enough. My problem is that I love doing all of the creative things – but I could never tell myself to settle on that one thing that I could do consistently every day.
Currently I’m working on a novel, set in modern day about an older woman navigating a big change in my life. No, it’s not based on my own life. It’s entirely made up. But I’ve been fascinated with the idea of big life changes: how do you do it and why? and how do you navigate change that you had little to no control over?
Aside from writing and dabbling in creative projects, I also have a personal goal to go through thousands (perhaps hundreds of thousands?) photos taken over the past 20+ years of the many things we’ve done and places we’ve been. Also, my kids and husband have been begging me to make more photo books. Once I find some good ones I’ll post it here. Thanks for coming along with me.
