Welcome to The Highgate Garden Chronicles! We’re two enthusiastic gardeners soon moving to our new home in Highgate. Here, we’ll develop a nature-friendly and productive flower and vegetable garden on around 150 square metres. We have both previously had terrace gardens, but this is our first experience of having a plot of land to work with. We’re incredibly excited! 

Our garden will be built on the following principles: 

1. Do no harm
   The current decline in pollinating insects is alarming. We will be gardening organically and creating a habitat for as much local wildlife as possible. 
2. Grow to eat
   There’s nothing like homegrown fruit and veg. We will be growing as much of our own food as possible: a mix of common and unusual plants to eat, with new and different plants each year. 
3. Share
   We can’t do it all alone. We’re hoping to get to know other gardeners in the area, so we can exchange ideas, seeds, and maybe even produce.
