The 2026 Awards will take place on June 24th, 2026 at Government House in Regina.
The Heritage Awards have two categories: Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage and Conservation of Heritage Places.
Award recepients in the Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) category demonstrate excellence in one or more of the Four Goals of ICH (see below), with consideration given to projects that touch on multiple categories.
Award recepients in the Conservation of Heritage Places category demonstrate excellence in the conservation of tangible heritage, according to appropriate best practices such as the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada.
