Florette was seeking an automation solution for its bagged salad lines. The PikPak™ provided enabled Florette to significantly boost throughput and reduce packing costs.
Florette, a division of Agrial is a market leading provider of prepared salads. Like many in the fresh produce sector, the operations rely heavily on manual labour, with up to 150 extra staff working throughout the summer on a temporary basis to meet demand.
With increasing labour supply challenges, Florette decided to pursue automation and were keen to secure a partner that offered the right blend of flexibility, price and performance whilst being easy to use.
Florette ultimately selected Leap AI’s PikPak™ robotic packing system to streamline their packing procedures. Our teams worked collaboratively to understand requirements, ensure seamless integration and to adapt the PikPak™ to cope with their range of products.
The system was installed in December 2022, commissioned within a 3-day period and over 25 staff members trained over 2 days. The system has been operational since with exceptional performance. Florette continues to value the trusted relationship built between the two businesses.
