I finished knitting Mia's scarf tonight! My first knitting project ever. Only took me a year. And I was even able to figure out how to bind off all by myself! Very proud. Now I just have to hope that Mia likes it!

I had a long day at work today, then class for two hours and about 80 pages to read for my other class. I wanted nothing more than to curl up on the couch and watch tv once I put Mia to bed.
I let myself watch Glee but then refused to let myself make excuses not to get a workout in. Jillian and Bob kicked my ass for 20 minutes and I feel so great. I need to remember this. I'm tired, but also energized. And I've done something positive for myself. And it only took me 20 minutes. I still have time to do homework and I still have time to spend with Al.
Making excuses is a pattern for me in my weight loss journey. I need to remember this.

Jenn and Erin,
Just finished watching Idol. I think I love Steven Tyler now. Niagara Falls, man, Niagara Falls.

I got up to try and view the lunar eclipse but we have too much cloud cover. No moon in sight. Total bummer. Back to bed now.

I have to admit that the Moff took any reservations I had about the change in leadership and blew them out of the water. And then blew the water out of the pool, too, for good measure.
Matt and Karen are awesome. I want a Rory of my very own. And I'm actually quite liking River Song, now, too. But, most importantly, they were just all (almost all - I hold one exception) FANTASTIC stories!
I suspect I'll be watching the finale at least two or three more times this week.
(On a side note, I was supposed to get my first paid resume review client this week, but she's not returned my contract or my emails, so I guess she changed her mind. Bummer. Oh well - all part of the game.)
I've had this blog idea for a couple months now and finally got off my duff this weekend and get it set up. Go check it out - I'd love feedback and constructive criticism.

In all of the empty seats at this empty McDonalds, these people have to sit right next to the person who is very clearly studying and then proceed to have a lengthy and loud conversation?
Srsly?
