The History and Cultures Workshop (HCW) at the University of Birmingham is inviting postgraduates and early career academics to submit papers for its seminar series. The seminar series meets fortnightly during term-time and provides a lively, informal environment in which speakers can receive feedback on their work from students. Funds for transport are available, while accommodation can be arranged.
We welcome proposals on any historical period or any region from those who specialise in the study of history, cultures and area studies.
Please submit a 100-200 word abstract along with your university and course details to Helen Coy at hcworkshop@contacts.bham.ac.uk. Please also note whether you intend to give a short paper (approximately 20 minutes) or a long paper (approximately 40 minutes).
If you would like to present a paper in Autumn 2014, please submit your application before the 1st of August 2014.
