The Egalitarian is written and produced by students to foster the free exchange of ideas, information, and perspectives. Our staff upholds high standards of writing, reporting, and journalistic integrity. The newspaper is open to all currently enrolled HCC students across all campuses, regardless of major.

We publish continuously online and welcome new contributors in any form—writers, photographers, editors, cartoonists, and more. Students interested in joining our team can complete the The Egalitarian Interest Questionnaire.

Meetings are held in the newsroom at HCC’s Central Campus.
