Code of Conduct

Introduction

Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or technology choices. All participants, judges, mentors, volunteers, organizers, sponsors, and attendees are expected to follow this Code of Conduct.

Expected Behavior
  • Be welcoming, respectful, and considerate.

  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment.

  • Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.

  • Provide constructive feedback and criticism.

  • Adhere to all event guidelines and schedules.

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples of unacceptable behavior include, but are not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.

  • Offensive verbal comments or inappropriate imagery.

  • Sexual harassment or unwanted advances.

  • Deliberate intimidation or stalking.

  • Disruption of presentations, workshops, or other hackathon activities.

  • Sharing inappropriate content (explicit, offensive, or discriminatory).

  • Theft, property damage, or misuse of hackathon resources.

Reporting Issues

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please immediately inform a hackathon organizer or contact us at computingclub@agamsu.org. All reports will remain confidential.

Consequences

Participants violating this Code of Conduct may face consequences, including warning, expulsion from the event, rescinding of prizes, and banning from future events.

By participating in our hackathon, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and help ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
