Harrison Museum Relocation to Melrose Plaza!
Inside Melrose Plaza
2502 Melrose Ave.
Roanoke, VA 24016
The Harrison Museum of African American Culture is proud to announce its relocation! We are currently open for limited hours during our soft opening preview period at 2502 Melrose Plaza in Northwest Roanoke—blocks from where we began nearly 40 years ago.
Our new space will offer more flexibility, innovation, and ways to connect with African American history and culture through rotating exhibits and vibrant community programming.
To support this transition, we’ve launched the Next 40 Years Campaign. Your contribution will help build the foundation for expanded educational programming, state-of-the-art exhibits, and a sustainable future for this community institution.
Stay tuned for our Grand Opening Announcement!
