Handy Eijiro is a dictionary app that allows you to search the highly-regarded Eijiro Ver. 178 (2.37 million entries / March 11, 2026 edition) offline.

You can perform "prefix matching" and "partial matching" searches of the Eijiro data. Searches begin with each character entered, quickly displaying matching words. The dictionary data includes "Eijiro," "Wa-Eijiro," "Reijiro," and "Ryakugoro." After downloading the dictionary data, you can search and display translations quickly anytime, anywhere, without an internet connection.


[Dictionary Data] You can use the Eijiro data (¥1,500) within the application to use it as a dictionary. Currently, the available Eijiro data is Eijiro Ver. 176 (2.35 million entries / March 11, 2025 edition). Eijiro data release information can be obtained at http://www.eijiro.jp/.


[Demo Data] You can download free demo data to try out the functions of this application. The demo data includes words beginning with "a," "b," "あ," and "い" from the Eijiro dictionary database.

[Dictionary Data Re-download] If you need to re-download the dictionary data, such as if you deleted the application or if the dictionary data was lost due to an OS restore, you can re-download the purchased version of the dictionary data for free. Purchase information is managed by Google Play.

* The dictionary data will be installed on your internal storage. The purchased version of the dictionary data requires approximately 1.5GB of internal storage space, and the demo data requires approximately 400MB. We recommend downloading the dictionary data using a Wi-Fi connection.

* Reijiro and Wa-Ei-Jiro incorporate Japanese-English newspaper article mapping data from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT).

* The bilingual data for "ICH Guidelines," "Japanese Laws and Regulations Foreign Language Translation Database," and "Wikipedia Japanese-English Kyoto Related Documents Corpus" are not included in this product.

* Updates to the Eijiro dictionary data, which can be purchased within the app, are subject to a fee. The updated Eijiro data includes over 10,000 additional entries and dictionary data maintenance.

* Use of purchased data is permitted only within this application downloaded from Google Play. Unauthorized extraction and use of the data on other devices or applications is prohibited.

* Depending on your internet connection, additional communication charges may apply for downloading the dictionary data. These communication charges are the responsibility of the user. tecorin.com assumes no responsibility for any communication charges.
