Price and installation was great. Unfortunately it took over 5 weeks to address a leak in the roof after the installation. Twice they failed to turn up on the days they were supposed to.

Seems a good quality product at a fair price. Most important to me was that there was no pressure applied for the sale- very relaxed approach which is what I like before making any big purchases. Fit out crew turned up on time, completed the job neatly and cleaned up well. No hassles with paperwork etc either. Overal very happy a few months after purchase!

Halcol quoted with 48 hrs then installed with 1 week of our local utility approval. Very neat wiring installation and the installation team took the time to ask where we wanted the panels so as there aren't visible from the entrance which was highly appreciated. Very efficient install team.

We have used Halcol to install Solar at Bribie Island and again when we moved to Deception Bay. We also used them to add additional panels at Deception Bay. On all occasions, we found them to be extremely informative and easy to deal with from the first call to Installation.
I recently had a problem with an Inverter and decided to call Halcol and got the same friendly service. The guys were here prompt at 7:00 am, they were helpful, extremely efficient in replacing the Inverter, checking the panels on the roof and running through the Inverter with me all within an hour.
I highly recommend talking to Halcol for Solar Installations; they get the job done and excellent after-sales service.

Our sales Consultant Tony presented us with a couple of different options and didn’t do the hard sell or pressure us to sign up while he was there.
When the install team turned up on time and were friendly and polite. I’m one of those annoying customers who like to ask lots of questions only because I like to understand how things work and the install team were more than happy to answer my questions. The Installation was extremely very neat and the best part is they cleaned up after themselves.

A great big thank you to Halcol Energy on the Sunshine Coast. After an introduction through Solar Quotes, Halcol dropped by, gave an overview of the installation, provided a competitive quote using top quality Canadian panels (20 x 3.3 kW panels) with a Sofar 5kW inverter. After accepting the quote, we got a very speedy install (due to a cancellation). The guys were super good on site installing panels on a 32 degree day, installing the inverter with a lot of wiring work on the switchboards. Instantly generating solar power - it’s a good feeling - and good savings after a very short 2.5 years pay back period.
Highly recommend Halcol and the equipment they use and Solar Quotes who gave great information at the start.

I found Halcol Energy through all the great reviews online, and decided to give them a call. From the very beginning, it was such an easy process. Their sales person Gary came to give us a quote - and it was the easiest consult I think I've ever been a part of. He didn't fluff around, or use over complicated lingo (except he did have a strong Irish accent which made my husband and I giggle when he said 'three' - Sorry Garry!). He explained everything clearly and to the point. There was no sales person 'Hard Sell' which was a breath of fresh air. We were happy to find out that we could save thousands of dollars, as our current solar panels (as we knew) were not enough and under preforming. The installers that came around did a great job - they worked their behinds off putting our panels up and were very helpful in explaining how the app worked and any other questions I had. Overall, it was a seamless and hassle free transaction. I would recommend this company for many reasons - the first being the great service, but also because it is a local company and I think it's great to support local where you can.

On Friday 18 November 2022, we had our Solar System Installation carried out by HALCOL ENERGY( Bokarina Sunshine Coast )
We used SolarQuotes initially to learn about solar energy systems. After doing a lot of reading on the local Solar companies, we chose 3 to obtain quotes from. We appreciated the valuable time of each company & we put our faith in HALCOL ENERGY. We were impressed with their business integrity, their knowledge, their installations records ( both residential & commercial ) & their trust in their recommended products & materials. Thanks go out to Wai in the office, Nathan in sales, Sam in Design & very importantly, to their qualified, very professional & capable installers. On our install day, we were extremely impressed with the installers, Brodie B & Brodie. They introduced themselves & immediately we felt at ease. They took the time to explain what they were going to do during the install process & consulted with us about the positioning of the panels & the placement of the inverter, as per the planned, best suited design. By keeping us, the customer, in the loop, we believe it is a key standout factor in any business. This was all spoken about even before they got on the roof. They were extremely thorough with their measurements on the roof, for panel placement and all this was done with utmost care & diligence. Their patience, attention to detail & their experience, delivered us a truly amazing exceptional job. Brodie B & Brodie, have excellent customer service skills & they delivered extremely high quality workmanship. Well done to both of them and we know they will keep up the great work.

Honestly very disappointed. We paid the most we needed to have a zero bill. $7500 for the 9.6kw system. Either the salesman doesn’t know his product or they flat out lied to us. Was 100% promised multiple times that our bills would be in negative and we’d be getting a rebate but that has never happened. We’ve changed energy providers 3 times to try but it just won’t happen.

I am delighted to share my positive experience with Halcol Energy and the solar system I had installed on June 1st, 2023. At the ripe age of 75, I harboured doubts about the feasibility of investing in solar energy, fearing it would take an eternity to realize any financial benefits. I had researched Solar Companies and different panels for quite a few weeks but settled on Halcol because they were local; had been in business for a good period of time; and reviews were favourable. Right from the initial engagement at the Nicklin Drive address I was impressed with the honest, no nonsense approach. Nathan was assigned to visit us and he arrived on time as agreed. Nathan was excellent in the way he explained everything. Nothing pushy. Just good honest, easy to understand discussion. Having made our decision to go ahead with Halcol the installation happened smoothly and when they said it would. The technicians who installed were friendly and happy to interact with us. The whole transaction start to finish was easy and without any dramas. Our 6.6KW system is doing what we hoped and has neutralised our first electricity bill. On the basis 'you get what you pay for' we could have purchased elsewhere more cheaply. But would we have received the high standard of service together with a product that has the same integrity? I think the extra dollars were well worth the easy experience and the quality of what was supplied. On our experience Halcol come highly recommended - and no we are not related to them 🙂
