HackVision Rules
This hackathon runs from 20th of November 2021 9:30 AM (AEST) to 21st of November 2021 AEST 5 PM.
Submissions
Participants should work on their hacks from 10:30 AM on the 20th of Nov till 10:30 AM on the 21st. The project must be wholly developed within this time frame. However, open source software previously developed can be used to build the system, not including open source software primarily authored by the participant. Modifying or extending existing open source software is an acceptable submission. However, this existing open source software must be cited and the extension identified clearly.
The software can be built using any technology stack, software or hardware, web, mobile and desktop. The project does not need to be fully functional, and a design or prototype is an acceptable submission. No specific tools are required to be used on this project.
The submission must include an open source accessible repository, such as GitHub or GitLab, as well as a video outlining the project. The video must be no longer than 3 minutes in length, including the demo. You should upload this video to a video streaming site such as YouTube. This does not need to be a public video, and can remain unlisted. Any third party software must be legally licenced.
If your submission doesn’t meet the requirements above, HackVision retains the right to exclude your project from consideration for any prizes.
Eligibility
To be eligible to participate, you must be over 18 years of age, and also living within Australia or attending an Australian University. Teams can be formed to be a maximum of 5 members, and a minimum of 1 member.
