Requirements

What to Build

Ideathon: Participants are expected to build a comprehensive pitch that includes a detailed concept model, proposed impact, and, if applicable, app screens or wireframes, all designed to address a specific civic issue and demonstrate the potential for real-world implementation. Remember, you do NOT need to know how to code for this!

Hackathon: Participants are expected to build a functional project that addresses a specific civic issue, including developing a working prototype, coding the necessary software, creating a user interface, and preparing a demonstration to showcase the potential for real-world implementation

What to Submit

Ideathon: 

  • Submit the link to a video (5 minutes or less) that showcases your entry. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube and made public/unlisted.
  • Provide a URL to your presentation, mockup, or whatever medium you are using to present your idea. 
  • Submit your project on DevPost as you normally would.
  • Make sure to select "ideathon" when you submit

Hackathon

  • Submit the link to a video (5 minutes) that showcases your entry. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube and made public/unlisted.
  • ​​Provide a URL to your code repository 
  • Provide a URL to your project if it is deployed (recommended, but you may also just showcase it in the video)
  • Submit your project on DevPost as you normally would.
  • Make sure to select "hackathon" when you submit
