Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

  • Most innovative (function-wise)

    • How unique is the idea behind this widget
    • Does it solve a unique problem
  • Best design (UI/UX)

    • Easy to use, responsive
    • Aesthetics of the widget is well thought out and generally looks good
    • Is interactive and dynamic, such as by using animations and transitions
  • Most useful

    • How well does this widget solve a common problem or annoyance with regards to the theme, i.e.
    • How well does it improve productivity
    • If this would be released as a browser extension, how likely are end-users to download it
  • Community vote

    • To be done using DevPost’s voting system
    • In order for a team to win the community vote, they need to submit a short video showcasing their widget on their submission page.
    • Your widget doesn't have to be the best, or even be good. You just need to convince the other participants that your widget deserves to win!

The winners of the main three categories will be announced during the ending/showcase ceremony on 30/03/2025 (15:00 - 17:00).

The winner of the community vote will be announced via our official Discord server on 03/02/2025.

 

  • Individual vs Team Participation:

    • Participants can compete individually or in teams (1-3).

    • Each team member must register separately, but only one submission per team will be accepted.

  • Teams and Collaboration:

    • While teamwork is encouraged, all work must be done during the hackathon period. This means that you cannot start your project before the official hackathon start time or after the hackathon end time.

    • If you are working as a team, make sure all contributors are clear on the work done and give appropriate credit.

  • Code of Conduct:

    • All participants must respect the Devpost Community Guidelines and the event’s Code of Conduct.

    • Discrimination, harassment, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated
