About the challenge

HackDay Lucknow is an MLH-sanctioned 12-hour in-person hackathon open to all high school and college students. Held in the heart of Nawabs' city, this event brings together the brightest young minds across Uttar Pradesh to ideate, build, and present technology projects from scratch.

Whether you're a seasoned coder or picking up your first framework — this hackathon is for you. We believe the best ideas come from diverse teams with fresh perspectives, not just polished resumes.

Open Innovation means you pick the problem. Build a web app, a hardware prototype, an AI tool, a social impact solution — anything goes, as long as it's built during the event.

 

Requirements

All projects must be submitted on Devpost before the 12-hour deadline. Your submission must include:

  • Project Name & Tagline— a punchy one-liner about what you built
  • Demo Video (2–3 min)— screen recording or live demo showing your project working
  • GitHub Repository— public repo with all source code committed during the event
  • Written Description— what problem you solved, how it works, and the tech stack used
  • Devpost Project Page— filled out completely with team member profiles linked

Projects built entirely before the event or submitted after the deadline will be disqualified.
