Eligibility

HackCamp is only open to individuals admitted through our application process.

We invite high school students and post-secondary students from all disciplines. New graduates are welcome as long as your graduation date is within one year of November 2025.

Team

  • Teams may have 1 - 4 members, all of which must be a registered hacker and present at the event.
  • You may only be part of one team.
  • Only one project submission per team is allowed.
  • Collaboration between two or more teams is not permitted.

Project and Submission Requirements

  • All code for your project must be written between 6PM PST Saturday, November 15th, 2025 to 12PM PST Sunday, November 16th, 2025. Ideas may be brainstormed beforehand.
  • Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will result in disqualification of the team.
  • You may use any publically available libraries/packages/design assets.
  • You must submit your project to both hackcamp-2025.devpost.com and https://portal.nwplus.io/app/hackcamp before 12:00 PM PST on Sunday, November 16th, 2025 to be eligible for judging. 
  • You may opt-in to a maximum of ONE superlative prize.

Judging

  • You must submit your project to Portal and Devpost to be eligible for judging. If you have any questions about this, consult the Hacker Package or ask an organizer. 
  • Every team who submits a project will be assigned 3-4 projects to peer judge. These must be judged between 12:15PM PST - 1:00PM PST on Sunday, November 16th. A rubric is available in the Hacker Package. Peer judging determines the three finalists of HackCamp 2025.
  • HackCamp judges will be determining the winners of superlative prizes based on Devpost submissions. 

Finally, all participants are required to adhere to the MLH Code of Conduct.
