1. Eligibility
- Open to all university students
- Teams must be 1-4 people
- You cannot be on multiple teams
2. Project Requirements
- Must address the core challenge: connecting students with mentors/past interns
- All work must be original and completed during the hackathon (Friday 8 PM - Sunday 1:30 PM)
- Projects must be submitted by 1:30 PM Sunday - no extensions
- Mandatory submissions: GitHub repo
- Must be buildable/runnable from the GitHub repo
3. Submission & Judging
- All submissions via Devpost only
- Judges will watch demo videos and review code
- Teams present on Sunday 2:00-4:30 PM (max 5 minutes + Q&A)
- Judges make final ranking decisions after all presentations
- Judges' decisions are final
4. Conduct & Collaboration
- All participants must follow our Code of Conduct (see below)
- Be respectful and supportive of other teams
- Cheating and plagiarism will result in disqualification
- Help from organizers and mentors is encouraged
- External libraries, APIs, and frameworks are allowed (just disclose them)
- Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated
5. Intellectual Property
- You retain all rights to your project
- By submitting, you grant Laurier Computing Society permission to showcase your project for promotional/portfolio purposes
- Your project may be featured on our website or social media (with your permission)
6. Disqualification
- Late submissions will not be accepted
- Plagiarism or code not created during the hackathon
- Violation of Code of Conduct
- Incomplete submissions (missing GitHub or demo video)

Unacceptable Behavior Includes:
β Harassment, bullying, or discrimination based on identity, gender, race, religion, or any other characteristic
β Offensive language, jokes, or comments targeting any group
β Unwanted physical contact or invasion of personal space
β Disruptive behavior that interferes with others' participation or the hackathon
β Cheating, plagiarism, or misrepresenting your work
β Creating an unsafe or uncomfortable environment for anyone
Reporting & Consequences:
If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to an organizer
Consequences for violations may include:
- Warning or request to stop behavior
- Removal from the hackathon without prize eligibility
- Reporting to relevant authorities if necessary
