Judging Criteria
-
Creativity/Originality (/10 points)
Is your project unique? Does it address a specific issue that's seldom discussed? Your project can be based on something else or an improvement on an existing program, but should bring something new. -
Complexity (/10 points)
The amount of effort required to make this hack successful. Note that we do not care about unnecessary fancy operations and libraries - make it elegant and meaningful. -
Efficacy (/10 points)
These points will be awarded based on how effective your hack is at what it's supposed to do. Does it solve a problem related to the Hackathon's theme? -
Efficiency (/5 points)
Efficiency will be judged based off of code comments, layout, and eloquence. Keep your code clean and avoid brute-force operations for full points. -
Application Value (/5 points)
What is the real-world context of your hack? Does it bring real value to the world? -
Wow Factor
Buffer points for anything not captured in the above pieces of criteria!
